Aneta

In theatres from November 7, 2024

Twenty-three-year-old Aneta committed suicide with thirteen knife wounds. No, this is not the plot of a horror sci-fi film, but the official conclusion of the Czech police. It is also the story of perhaps the most controversial criminal case in modern history—a case that took place ten years ago. However, that does not mean it is time to forget. On the contrary! The documentary “Aneta” will bring new, absolutely crucial information and findings that could lead to a significant turn in the entire case.

ABOUT THE MOVIE

Runtime:

Twenty-three-year-old Aneta committed suicide with thirteen knife wounds. No, this is not the plot of a horror sci-fi film, but the official conclusion of the Czech police. It is also the story of perhaps the most controversial criminal case in modern history, which filmmakers documented for long five years. What role did a love triangle, the mafia, drugs, and a mysterious Lebanese man play in the case? In order to provide answers to these questions to both Aneta’s mother and the public, the filmmakers built an exact replica of the crime scene in the studio. A reconstruction took place at this location with the participation of leading world experts in psychology, toxicology, pathology, and biomechanics. Will the conclusions of British, Canadian, American, and French experts align with those reached by the Czech police? Will the victim’s mother finally get at least some answers after ten years? From November 7th only in theaters!
