The story follows Lucie, a young city woman who inherits a mountain chalet from her estranged father Karel, a former head of the mountain rescue service whom she never really knew. Lucie arrives in the mountains determined to settle the inheritance quickly, but instead of an empty cabin she finds complete chaos — the chalet is inhabited by mountain rescuer Matěj, his dog Bedřich, and several others who run the place as an accommodation facility for school outdoor trips.

Lucie must face not only the unfamiliar world of the mountains, but also Matěj’s sarcastic attitude and a series of challenges that gradually push her beyond her own limits. Comic situations, mountain rescue missions, and a string of absurd misunderstandings lead to an unexpected bond between Lucie and Matěj. Although Lucie initially struggles with the harsh mountain conditions and Matěj’s cynical humor, their relationship slowly evolves into friendship — and perhaps something more…
